Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks an experienced AI Engineer to design and build production-grade Generative AI solutions focusing on agentic workflows, multi-agent systems, and enterprise AI applications. You will combine strong software fundamentals with hands-on expertise in LLMs, RAG architectures, and AI agent frameworks.

Responsibilities include building scalable AI applications, orchestrating AI agents with LangChain/LangGraph and similar frameworks, and developing robust backend services and data

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI and LLMs.
• Strong proficiency in Python for production-grade apps.
• Experience with two or more agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, Google ADK, CrewAI, AutoGen, Copilot Studio).
• Experience with cloud AI platforms (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI/ADK).
• Strong backend skills including REST/gRPC APIs, asynchronous programming, Docker, FastAPI/Flask.
• Knowledge of leading LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini) and open-source alternatives.
• Experience building RAG solutions with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB, Qdrant).
• Expertise in prompt engineering, orchestration, guardrails, ReAct patterns, and evaluation techniques.
• Strong problem solving, system design and architectural decision-making skills.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration with global teams.

Requirements

• Experience with cloud AI platforms including Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or Google Vertex AI/ADK
• Strong backend development skills, including REST/gRPC APIs, asynchronous programming, Docker, and frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask
