Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and enhance platform tooling and integration across SAP and non‑SAP systems. You will deliver reliable, scalable services and contribute to end‑to‑end delivery with a hands‑on approach.

In this role you will drive test automation, performance testing, and data validation, while collaborating with Product, SAP, Data, and Platform teams to raise engineering productivity and quality.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in software engineering, integration, or platform tooling.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Experience with testing tools, automation frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to data pipelines, migration, and validation approaches.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of integration technologies and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

Senior Software Engineer

The Position

As a Senior Software Engineer – Platform Tooling & Integration, you will design, build, and enhance platform tooling, integration capabilities, and quality engineering solutions. You will work hands‑on across automation, integration, and data engineering, ensuring systems are reliable, scalable, and validated across end‑to‑end workflows. You will contribute to building reusable components and improving engineering productivity across teams.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Tooling & Integration

• Develop and enhance platform tooling and integration frameworks across SAP and non‑SAP systems
• Build and support integrations using APIs, event‑driven patterns, and middleware
• Contribute to standardization and reuse of integration components

Testing & Quality Engineering

• Build and maintain test automation frameworks across services and integration layers
• Execute and support performance testing to validate scalability and reliability

• Work closely with Product, SAP, Data, and Platform teams
• Support integration and platform initiatives across teams
• Contribute to technical discussions and solution design

Our Ideal Candidate

Strong experience in software engineering with focus on integration or platform tooling. Hands‑on experience in test automation, performance testing, and regression testing. Experience in data migration and data validation techniques. Good understanding of APIs, microservices, and event‑driven systems. Strong problem‑solving skills with ownership mindset.

Required Skills/Experience

• MS or BS in a Computer Science or a science/engineering discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in software engineering, integration, or platform tooling
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or similar programming languages
• Experience with testing tools, automation frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to data pipelines, migration, and validation approaches
