Job summary

Photon in India is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain Windows desktop applications using .NET and WinForms. You will work across teams, follow SDLC practices, and deliver high-quality software with a focus on maintainability.

The role requires strong C#, .NET 8+, WinForms experience, and knowledge of REST APIs, gRPC, and SQL databases. Prior investment banking exposure and a test-driven approach with MbUnit or NUnit are a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in C# with strong .NET fundamentals and threading concepts.
• Experience with WinForms; knowledge of Windows desktop application development is a plus.
• Understanding of PUB/SUB messaging, caching, REST APIs, Microservices, and gRPC.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL; proficient in SQL & T-SQL / PL SQL; performance optimization is a plus.
• .NET version 8 and above.
• Investment banking experience is a big plus.
• Strong focus on delivering a software product with high code quality.
• Experience creating, enhancing, and executing unit tests using a test-driven approach with MbUnit or NUnit; familiarity with open-source testing tools and Agile methodologies.
