Role Summary:

The Full-Stack Developer will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining high‑performance front-end and server‑side components and services within the Microsoft technology stack. This role focuses on developing clean, reliable code, managing SQL Server databases, and building efficient data access layers using Entity Framework. The developer will work with modern communication technologies delivering secure, scalable service‑to‑service and service‑to‑end-user integrations. Collaborating closely other technical teams, they will help shape robust solutions that support business‑critical applications. Experience with API design and integration patterns is a valuable advantage.Knowledge/experience of translating UI/UX requirements to specifications/flow diagrams/stories would be beneficial.

Skillset / Responsibilities

  • Strong proficiency in C# and backend development within the .NET ecosystem.
  • Solid experience with SQL Server, including writing complex queries, optimisation, and database design.
  • Experience in building unit tests using NUnit or Visual Studio test frameworks.
  • Proficient in Entity Framework for data access, modelling, and migrations.
  • Strong understanding of backend architecture, service‑oriented design, and application lifecycle management.
  • Experience integrating front-end components with backend services.
  • Ability to build clean, modular, and reusable UI components following best practices.
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices, error handling, logging, and monitoring.
  • Ability to work effectively within Agile/Scrum teams and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and components using C# and .NET Framework and Core.
  • Implement high-performance, scalable data access layers using Entity Framework and SQL Server.
  • Developer unit tests alongside code to ensure low bug count.
  • Optimise database queries, indexes, and overall system performance.
  • Collaborate with front-end, and architecture teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Ensure code quality through testing, peer reviews, and adherence to development standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve back‑end and front‑end issues across services, databases, and integrations.
  • Knowledge of frameworks like AngularJS, Angular, Blazor, etc.
  • Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with API gateways.
  • Knowledge of integration patterns and message‑based communication.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
  • Awareness of system scalability, caching strategies, and performance profiling tools.
  • Awareness of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and front‑end performance optimisation.
  • Experience working with design systems or contributing to UI pattern libraries.
  • Familiarity with branching strategies.
  • Experience of creating UI layouts/designs based on customer requirements a plus.
  • Build and maintain RESTful API’s, gRPC services and protobuf and Signal‑R message contracts for inter‑service communication.
  • Contribute to the design and improvement of integration strategies and API standards.
  • Participate in evaluating third‑party services, libraries, or architectural enhancements.
  • Provide technical input to peers across development teams.
  • Help document backend architecture, data flows, and development guidelines.
  • Contribute to the creation or enhancement of a shared UI component library.
  • Assist in frontend performance tuning and identifying optimisation opportunities.
  • Provide technical feedback during UX/UI design discussions and prototyping.
  • Participate in evaluating new tools, frameworks, or libraries that could improve development efficiency.
  • Help document frontend standards, guidelines, or architectural patterns.
