Job summary

Kayzen seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join the Platform Engineering team, driving the RTB platform, real-time budgeting, and data pipelines for large-scale processing. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, product and business teams, and mentor junior engineers.

The role emphasizes designing scalable components, deep technical dives into stack layers, and delivering robust data extraction, transformation, and loading solutions across diverse data sources.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Java is a must and solid knowledge of JVM internals.
• Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and OS basics.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases in Unix/Linux environments.
• Familiarity with AI development tools and agentic coding is a plus.

Hello I am Servesh , Co- founder and CTO at Kayzen, and I am now looking for a Senior Software Engineer who will be a part of the platform engineering team.

The role

The Platform Engineering team owns the Real-time bidding (RTB) platform, a Real-time budget system, Real-time event processing, stream data processing engine and multiple other complex large-scale distributed components and data pipelines. You will work closely with data scientists, data analysts, product and business teams.

Day to day

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:

• Design, code, deploy & maintain highly scalable software components, optimal data pipeline architecture for large- scale data volumes
• Dive deep into any part of the stack and low-level systems, as well as design broad distributed system interaction
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
• Build the system required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and ‘big data’ technologies.
• Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.
• Mentor junior software engineers

Sounds like you?

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum 5+ yrs of professional experience working in distributed systems.

• Min. 5 years of experience in coding & implementing complex projects
• Proficiency in Java is a MUST
• Deep understanding of Multi-threading, JVM, GC and profiling tools
• Good knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience with r elational SQL and NoSQL databases, proficiency in working in Unix/Linux-based environment
• Hands on with AI development tools like (Claude code, Github Copilot etc) and demonstrates AI usage, adoption & agentic coding in day to day work
• Experience with C++/Golang nice to have
• Past ExperienceinML/DS is a big plus
• Ad-tech, marketing-tech experience is a big plus
• Work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field
