Job summary

Okta in Bengaluru is hiring a Java Senior Software Engineer for the Azure Integrations Team. The role is hybrid with two in-office days and focuses on integrating with Microsoft's Azure AD Identity Platform (Entra ID, MSGraph).

You will build scalable, high-quality, enterprise software with automated testing and a collaborative culture. We seek engineers with 5+ years' experience, strong Java/Spring/Hibernate/Redis expertise, and the ability to work across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience building highly reliable, mission-critical software.
• Experience with monolithic to microservices architectures.
• Server-side tech: caching, asynchronous processing, multi-threading (Java, Spring, Hibernate, Redis).
• Ability to collaborate with distributed teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Understand the Azure Integrations codebase and development process (Jira, designs, reviews, testing, deployment).
• Refine requirements with product management and stakeholders.
• Provide support for bugs and customer issues.
• Scope and plan engineering efforts for project/feature launches.
• Design and implement high-performance distributed components.
• Participate in PR reviews and mentor junior team members.
• Collaborate across QA, PM, Support, Documentation, TPM, and UX.
• Own features and ensure long-term health, observability and reliability.

Java Senior Software Engineer, Azure Integrations Team

We are looking for dynamic and collaborative software engineers to join the Azure Integrations team that focuses on integrations with Microsoft's Azure AD Identity Platform (Entra ID, MSGraph, etc). This is a hybrid role based out of our Bangalore office.

What you’ll be doing

• Understand our Azure Integrations codebase and development process: Jira, Technical Designs, Code Review, Testing, and Deployment.
• Analyze, refine and shape requirements with product management and other stakeholders by asking the right questions and driving clarity.
• Provide support and handle incoming bugs and customer reported issues
• Work withvarious stakeholders to scope and planengineeringefforts to ensure project and feature launch success.
• Design and implement high-performance distributed scalable and fault-tolerant software components.
• Actively participate in PR reviews with the team
• Help mentor more junior team members
• Enjoy working across a cross-functional team consisting of QA, Product Management, Technical Support, Documentation, TPM and UX to create an extensible platform.
• Own features and/or systems and define their long-term health and observability and reliability metrics.

What you’ll bring to the role

• 5+ years of software development experience building highly reliable, mission-critical software.
• Experience working with systems of scale ranging from monolithic applications to microservices.
• Experience with server-side technologies including caching, asynchronous processing, and multi-threading. We use Java, Spring, Hibernate, Redis.
• Ability to work effectively with distributed teams and people of various backgrounds
• Nice to have:
• experience working with Microsoft's Graph APIs - a RESTful web API that enables access Microsoft Cloud service resources, especially identity APIs
• experience with modern front end development such as ReactJS
• This is a hybrid role, 2 days in office as a minimum
