Job summary

MRI Software is expanding Agora with a new API platform and seeks a Senior Engineer to drive infrastructure, automation, and engineering practices for reliability, security, and extensibility. Based in Baroda, you will transform the API strategy into a scalable, maintainable system within six months and continue hardening thereafter.

You will collaborate with the Product Manager and broader engineering teams to deliver a robust platform, participate in Agile ceremonies, and mentor others in IaC

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software or platform engineering experience focused on infrastructure and automation.
• Hands-on IaC experience with Terraform and Bicep.
• Strong experience with Azure cloud services and Azure APIM.
• Proven DevOps, CI/CD, containerization, and automated deployment practices.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain IaC for the Agora API Platform using Terraform and Bicep on Azure.
• Build and operate CI/CD pipelines to onboard new and legacy applications onto the platform.
• Apply DevOps practices across the full lifecycle including testing, deployment, monitoring and incident response.
• Collaborate with product and platform teams to ensure high availability and fast troubleshooting.
• Mentor engineers on IaC, DevOps, and Agile best practices as the team grows.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to architectural deliverables.

About the Role:

MRI-Software is expanding Agora with a new API platform and is looking for a Senior Engineer to help build it. This role sits on the Agora API Platform team based in Baroda and is responsible for the infrastructure, automation, and engineering practices that make the platform reliable, secure, and easy to extend.

The Senior Engineer will work closely with the Product Manager for the Agora API Platform and the broader engineering team to turn the API strategy into a working, scalable system within six months of launch, then continue to harden and grow it.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) for the Agora API Platform using Terraform and Bicep on Azure Build and operate CI/CD pipelines that support fast, reliable onboarding of new and legacy applications into the platform. Apply DevOps practices across the full lifecycle, including automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and incident response.

Collaborate with the Product Manager and platforming, and observability into the platform to support high availability and fast troubleshooting. Define and enforce infrastructure team to translate the API strategy into technical architecture and delivery plans Participate fully in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, and retrospectives Build monitoring, ale standards, security practices, and environment consistency across the platform.

Partner with application teams to support onboarding of both new and legacy systems into the centralized integration ecosystem Identify and resolve technical risks and bottlenecks before they affect delivery timelines. Mentor other engineers on IaC, DevOps, and Agile best practices as the team grows

Responsibilities:

• 6+ years of software or platform engineering experience, with a strong track record in infrastructure and automation.
• Extensive hands-on experience with infrastructure as code, particularly Terraform and Bicep.
• Strong experience with Azure cloud services and Azure API Management (APIM).
• Deep DevOps experience, including CI/CD pipeline design, containerization, and automated deployment practices.
• Practical experience working in Agile teams using Scrum, including sprint planning, backlog management.
• Experience with API management platforms such as Azure APIM or Kong.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, networking, and application layers.
• Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with product and cross functional engineering teams.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent.

Preferred:

• Experience supporting both new application onboarding and legacy
• system modernization Familiarity with API gateway configuration, versioning, and security patterns.
• Experience working on a platform team supporting multiple internal
• application teams.
• Prior experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives within a
• Scrum team.
