Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years on iOS.

• Experience designing RESTful, JSON-based, and GraphQL APIs.
• Strong knowledge of multithreading, memory management, and app performance.

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Mobile Engineering team. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, product, and design teams to architect, build, and deliver high-quality iOS applications that solve meaningful customer challenges. As a senior technical leader, you will influence the direction of our mobile platform, mentor fellow engineers, and help shape scalable SaaS solutions that deliver exceptional customer value.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Software Engineering, and is based in our India office.

What You'll Do

• Drive the successful delivery of complex, large-scale iOS projects while maintaining high standards for quality, performance, and reliability.
• Establish and promote engineering best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles across the team.
• Provide technical leadership by guiding design decisions, resolving complex engineering challenges, and influencing technical strategy.
• Mentor and develop engineers through code reviews, technical coaching, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Contribute to initiatives that improve platform scalability, application performance, maintainability, and customer value.
• Identify technical risks and long-term opportunities, leading efforts to improve system architecture and overall platform health.
• Take ownership of complex technical initiatives, ensuring sustainable and maintainable solutions.
• Lead proof-of-concept projects and technical explorations to evaluate new technologies and validate architectural approaches.
• Create and review technical designs, architecture documents, and engineering proposals to support informed decision‑making.
• Clearly communicate technical priorities, architectural trade-offs, and the rationale behind engineering decisions, including balancing feature delivery with technical debt reduction.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and psychologically safe engineering culture that encourages open communication, continuous learning, and innovation.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years developing iOS applications using Swift and Objective-C.
• Strong expertise in iOS frameworks and technologies, including UIKit, SwiftUI, CoreData, and modern architectural patterns such as MVC and MVVM.
• Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs, JSON‑based services, and GraphQL APIs.
• Solid understanding of multithreading, concurrency, memory management, application performance optimisation, and mobile application lifecycle management.
• Experience developing applications that support offline functionality and synchronisation.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, development methodologies, and industry best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, and design teams.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex technical initiatives and adapting plans to changing business priorities.
• A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to evaluate emerging technologies and recommend modern engineering approaches that keep the platform aligned with industry best practices.
