Job summary

Truveta Hyderabad seeks a Senior Software Engineer to build, operate, and scale cloud-native infrastructure for our health data platform. You will lead design and deployment of Kubernetes-based services, and work across mesh, gateways, orchestration, and Azure integration to ensure reliability and security.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, hands-on infrastructure work, and mentoring other engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of professional software/infrastructure experience.
• Experience building and operating production infrastructure or platform services.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native infra.
• Experience with service mesh, API gateways, workflow orchestration, or container orchestration platforms.
• Experience managing infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, maintenance, and operation of cloud-native infra services for Truveta’s platform.
• Build and operate Kubernetes-based infra to support scalable, secure production workloads.
• Develop platform capabilities using Kubernetes, Conductor, Istio, Kong, and related tools.
• Design and operate infra services on Microsoft Azure.
• Drive automation and tooling to improve velocity and platform reliability.
• Improve observability with logs, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerts, and health checks.
• Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and production issue resolution.
• Collaborate with product, security, and architects to deliver reliable platform capabilities.
• Make sound technical decisions balancing scalability, performance, security, and delivery speed.
• Write maintainable code and configuration for infra services and tooling.
• Establish deployment guides, runbooks, and engineering standards.
• Mentor engineers and grow expertise in Azure and open-source infra technologies.

This role is ideal for an experienced infrastructure-focused engineer who is proficient with open-source platform technologies such as Kubernetes, Conductor, Istio, Kong, and related cloud-native tools. You will help design, build, and operate the infrastructure services that power Truveta’s healthcare data platform on Microsoft Azure.

As a senior engineer, you will help shape technical direction, drive engineering and operational best practices, mentor other engineers, and improve the reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability of Truveta’s infrastructure services.

What You’ll Do

• Improve observability through structured logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerting, and service health monitoring.
• Lead troubleshooting, incident response, root‑cause analysis, and production issue resolution for infrastructure services.
• Partner with product engineers, security teams, architects, and engineering leaders to deliver reliable platform capabilities.
• Make sound technical decisions that balance scalability, performance, security, reliability, maintainability, and delivery speed.
• Write clean, maintainable code and configuration for infrastructure services, automation, and platform tooling.
• Establish and improve operational practices, deployment guidance, runbooks, and engineering standards.
• Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and help build team expertise in Azure and open‑source infrastructure technologies.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering, infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud engineering experience.
• Significant experience developing, maintaining, and operating production infrastructure or platform services.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Experience with open‑source infrastructure technologies such as service mesh, API gateways, workflow orchestration, or container orchestration platforms.
• Experience managing infrastructure and platform services on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, automation, infrastructure as code, GitOps, monitoring, and operational best practices.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, identity, access control, and distributed systems concepts.
• Experience troubleshooting complex production issues across infrastructure, services, networking, data stores, and distributed systems.
• Ability to lead technical discussions, influence infrastructure design decisions, and mentor other engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep hands‑on experience with Azure infrastructure and Azure services.
