Job summary

GrabTaxi Holdings Pte. Ltd. in Bengaluru, India is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test to design, implement, and expand automated testing frameworks across backend, frontend, and mobile platforms.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product and development teams, and drive testing excellence while integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience creating, scaling, and maintaining automation test suites for backend and frontend systems.
• Proficiency in designing and writing test scripts using languages such as Python, Golang, or Java.
• Expertise with test automation frameworks including Selenium, Cucumber, Appium, Go Test, or comparable tools.
• Debug and troubleshoot automated testing systems and identify causes of failures.
• Solid knowledge of stress testing tools and simulation testing for evaluating system stability under varying traffic conditions.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline integration and test automation within deployment environments.
• And problem-solving skills about testing strategies
• With the ability to collaborate across teams
• Exposure to AI-powered testing tools and latest technologies that enhance automation workflows
• Experience with test reporting, and data analysis to drive quality improvements
• Knowledge of performance testing and load testing methodologies
• Familiarity with agile development practices and test-driven development (TDD)
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience mentoring junior engineers
• Domain Expertise: Test automation frameworks and best practices

Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive automated testing frameworks and scripts that validate end-to-end performance and functionality for backend services, frontend applications, and mobile platforms
• Increase testing processes, and methodologies to enhance functional, security, and performance testing capabilities
• Develop structured testing plans that cover functionality, system performance, security validations, and edge cases while ensuring broad coverage and clear insights
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and quality assurance teams to embed automated testing strategies that improve deliverable quality and meet technical standards
• Provide mentorship and training to engineering teams in adopting and scaling automation practices, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards
• Lead simulation and stress testing programs to measure system stability, response times, and behaviour under high traffic or variable load conditions
• Analyse test metrics, results, and coverage data to identify gaps, test scenarios, and improve testing methodologies
• Advocate for product quality by interpreting user needs and designing test cases that reflect real-world scenarios and customer expectations
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate on improving deployment processes to ensure quality at every stage
