Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions in India is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain software solutions within a collaborative, cross-functional team. You will mentor juniors, contribute to knowledge sharing, and help estimate upcoming work to drive impactful outcomes for customers.

The role requires strong Agile experience, Python proficiency, and hands-on AWS cloud development with a focus on scalable data and AI-driven features.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Proficiency in Python and direct experience with AI tools and LLM APIs.
• Experience with RAG pipelines: chunking, embeddings, vector stores, and retrieval quality.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including schema design and optimization.
• Experience in application design, root cause analysis, and reusable component development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native development.
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks and TypeScript/Node.js is a plus.

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will help design, develop, and maintain softwaresolutions that have a real impact. Requirements

• Strong understanding of modern software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues while guiding others through problem-solving.
• Proficiency in Python and must have direct experience with AI tools like LLM APIs (OpenAI, Bedrock, or Azure OpenAI). Understanding of OOPS concepts (.Net).
• Work experience in RAG pipelines: chunking, embeddings, vector stores, retrieval quality, Structured extraction with Pydantic or similar schema-driven approaches, Agentic patterns and orchestration (Lang Graph, Lang Chain, or hand-rolled equivalents; framework matters less than understanding the patterns), Prompt engineering and some awareness of evals/testing LLM outputs.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including schema design, performance optimization, stored procedures, and advanced troubleshooting.
• Experience in application design, root cause analysis, and the development of shared or reusable components.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development.
• Understanding of security engineering principles and their practical application and Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks and TypeScript/node.js is a plus.
