Job summary

LexisNexis Legal & Professional in Bengaluru seeks a senior software engineer to lead complex software design and development across multiple systems. You will mentor juniors, interact with customers, and translate requests into robust solutions.

You should have strong Java, React, AWS experience (ECS/S3/SQS/Step Functions/Lambda), Spring Boot and Apache Camel, with a focus on SDLC excellence and payment webservices.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of software engineering experience.
• BS in Engineering/CS or equivalent.
• Full stack React and Java development knowledge.
• Experience with AWS services and serverless patterns.
• Strong SDLC, testing, and DevOps understanding.
• Experience with payment webservices is a plus.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary technical point of contact for external technology resources.

This position performs software design — typically across multiple systems; mentors more-junior members of the team; and talks to users/customers and translates their requests into solutions.Responsibilities:• Serve as a primary technical point of contact for external technology re sources.• Provide design input across a product.• Work directly with customers and end users.• Serve as acknowledged “go to” person on coding and technical issues.• Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.• Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.• Complete complex bug fixes.• Mentor lead software developers interested in consultancy on development methodologies and optimization techniques.• All other duties as assigned.Requirements:• 9+ years of Software Engineering experience.• BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required.• Knowledge on full stack development using React technology.• Understanding of Java Software Engineering & Development.• Expertise in Java Open-source Technologies - Apache camel, Spring boot.• Expertise in AWS Cloud Technologies - ECS, S3, SQS, Step Functions, Lambda serverless implementations.• Expertise in AWS DevOps activities, AWS Cloud Formation Templates and Create & Upgrade of AWS Databases.• Expert knowledge of resolving security vulnerabilities on Open-source Java technologies.• Expertise in industry technology language development trends.• Expertise in test-driven development and maintenance including techniques for applying best practices for overall project benefit.• Knowledge on Payment processors to facilitate payment transactions.• Experience in the development and integration of payment webservices.• Proven expert in partnering and leading internal and external technology resources in solving complex business needs.• Software development process expert in applicable methodologies (e.g., Agile).• Strong interpersonal skills.• Strong experience with various resource models such as Managed Services and/or Staff Augmentation.• Strong knowledge in industry best practices in external resource development.• Solid knowledge of architectural principles.• Ability to partner and lead internal and external technology resources in solving complex business needs.• Strong proficiency with data manipulation language including optimization techniques.• Strong organization/project planning, time management, and change management skills across multiple functional groups and departments, and strong delegation skills involving prioritizing and reprioritizing projects and managing projects of various size and complexity.• Advanced problem-solving experience involving leading teams in identifying, researching, and coordinating the resources necessary to effectively troubleshoot/diagnose complex project issues; prior success extracting/translating findings into alternatives/solutions; and identifying risks/impacts and schedule adjustments to facilitate management decision-making.• Advance communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills.
