Overview

Senior Software Engineer – Aura Agentic Interfaces – Hyderabad, India. You will develop and optimize backend systems that power Seismic’s content discovery and AI‑driven search capabilities, while owning the integration and front‑end delivery of these features to ensure a seamless user experience.

Who you are:

• Experience: 6+ years in software engineering, proven track record of building and scaling microservices and working with data retrieval systems.
• Technical Expertise: 5+ years with C# and .NET, unit testing, OOP, web services; Full Stack experience a plus.
• 3+ years experience with Python, able to work concurrently on Python and .NET repositories.
• 3+ years experience with Redis, managing large‑scale Redis clusters.
• 2+ years experience with PostgreSQL, including maintenance and tuning.
• Proficient in Test Driven Development, using xUnit and Postman for automation test scripts.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.).
• Experience with event‑driven architectures, e.g., Kafka.
• Experience with container technologies (Docker) and microservice frameworks (Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD, developing Jenkins pipelines using Scala.
• Experience with DDD (Domain‑Driven Design) or feature toggles (Launch Darkly) is good to have.
• NewRelic, Snowflake, Ansible, Ninjia2 experience is a plus.
• Front‑end/full‑stack experience a plus.
• Cloud expertise: AWS, GCP, or Azure, with knowledge of cloud‑native services for AI/ML, data storage, and processing.
• Experience deploying containerized applications into Kubernetes is a plus.
• Prefer expertise in search platforms such as ElasticSearch or Apache Solr; NLP, semantic search, and text processing techniques are a plus.
• Extensive SaaS application development experience, deep understanding of distributed systems and cloud operational infrastructure.
• Experience collaborating with product management, design, and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Proven record of driving feature development from concept to launch.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with teams across regions.
• Ability to collaborate with the China team and adapt to the China timezone is essential.
• Scrum and JIRA experience a plus.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Aura Agentic Interfaces team, you will design, build, and maintain scalable, high‑performance systems that deliver exceptional value to our customers. Your role involves both backend and front‑end responsibilities, ensuring a seamless search experience across the Seismic platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full Stack Development & Ownership: Design, develop, and maintain backend services for search functionality while leading the implementation of intuitive, high‑performance front‑end components to surface search results.
• Distributed Systems Development: Build and maintain backend systems and services for search functionality, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Search & Algorithm Optimization: Implement and optimize search and AI‑driven semantic algorithms, indexing, and information retrieval techniques to improve search accuracy and efficiency.
• Integration: Collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, and product teams to integrate AI‑driven search capabilities across Seismic.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize search performance, addressing bottlenecks and ensuring low‑latency query responses.
• Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting best practices in search backend development.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional and geographically distributed teams, including product managers, front‑end engineers, and UX designers.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends in search technologies, conducting research and experimentation to drive innovation.
