Job summary

Cisco Meraki is seeking a seasoned Full Stack Software Engineer to collaborate with firmware, backend, SRE, and dashboard teams to architect and build scalable systems that connect over a million network devices to the Meraki Dashboard.

You will design and develop scalable software, enhance backend features, and work across Backend, SRE, Dashboard, and Support teams to ensure reliability and performance. A strong ownership mindset and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience writing production code and tests for medium to large-scale systems.
• 7+ years of experience in full stack technologies, such as Ruby on Rails/Python/ react.js, JavaScript.
• Ability to design efficient databases and optimize query performance in a relational database like Postgres or SQL.
• Demonstrates ownership of tasks within the development process, from conception to implementation, by collaborating effectively with peers and cross-functional teams.
• A keen interest in understanding user needs and contributing to product development.
• Strong communication skills to articulate ideas clearly and work effectively within a team.

Your Impact

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will collaborate with firmware and other Backend, SRE, Dashboard engineers to architect, design, and build a large-scale system. You will enable connections between over a million network devices and our products. With the large footprint that we have, quality is our highest priority. With help from product managers and firmware engineers, you will construct intuitive but powerful systems that will be used by customers via the Meraki Dashboard. Design & develop scalable software systems and enhancing backend features. Collaborate with engineers from Backend, SRE, Dashboard, and Support teams to ensure seamless integration, maintain system reliability, enhance user interfaces, and provide comprehensive support for end-users. Identify and address performance issues. Follow established coding standards and contribute insights to improve team knowledge.

Minimum Qualifications
