Job summary
Warner Bros. Discovery in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Software Engineer - Fullstack (Java & Angular) to build end-to-end systems for media workflows and content supply chain.
You will design, implement, and optimize applications within a SAFe Agile team, collaborating across engineering and product to deliver robust software and architecture improvements.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience as a Full stack developer (Java with Angular 15) and above version.
- Experience with event driven architecture or asynchronous messaging services.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven architecture and asynchronous messaging.
- High proficiency and technical leadership with Serverless / AWS Lambda, PostgreSQL, AWS Step Functions.
- Experience working within a SAFe Agile team, collaborating to build software and iteratively improve it.
- Proven track record designing and building applications for media workflows, media catalogs, and asset registries.
- Effective communicator in team discussions and documentation.
- Able to solve business problems with simple, robust solutions.
Responsibilities
- Build application service layers and UIs to support Warner Bros Discovery’s content supply chain.
- Design and development of entire systems within the supply chain; build architectural diagrams showing what to build and how.
- Describe and defend design and code decisions to engineers; embrace feedback and align with team/company standards.
- Offer enhancements to best practices, document design and architecture improvements; provide code-review feedback.
- Troubleshoot production issues by reviewing code, logs, metrics, and stack traces to identify and resolve problems.

Troubleshoot a production issue by reviewing source code, logs, operational metrics, stack trace etc. to pinpoint a specific problem and then resolve it.
5-8 years of experience as aFull stack developer ( Javawith Angular 15and above version)
Experience with event driven architecture or asynchronous messaging services
Hands-on experience withApache Kafkafor event-driven architecture and asynchronous messaging
High proficiency and technical leadership with technologies on our stack including Serverless / AWS Lambda based architecture, PostgreSQL, AWS Step Functions

You have a proven track record of designing and building applications for media workflows, media catalogs, and asset registries
You are an effective communicator, demonstrating this in your discussions with the team and stakeholders and through your documentation

You deliver high-quality results the first time and improve code, documentation, and results with each iteration. Your team trusts your work.
It would be a plus if the candidate has experience in the Media domain
