Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack to design, develop, and maintain scalable payment-network applications.

You will work across technologies including Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and cloud-native platforms, collaborating with global teams to deliver secure, high-availability services and modern front-end UX.

Experience with microservices, Kafka, CI/CD, and responsive UI components is essential, as is strong collaboration across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience in Agile delivery and SDLC.
• Clear communication, collaboration, problem-solving and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work with globally distributed teams across product, engineering, architecture, operations, and business.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted engineering tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude CLI).
• Payments or financial-services domain knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

Overview

Payments Network Technology is seeking a software engineer to design, build, and support secure, scalable, and highly available payment-network solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native engineering practices.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support software services based on technical and functional requirements.
• Build Front end applications with high UX.
• Develop responsive user experiences and integrate front-end applications with secure backend APIs.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on Java and Spring Boot development experience.
• Experience with microservices, REST APIs, Kafka or similar messaging platforms, and event-driven architecture.
• Hands-on Angular development experience is required, including TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Micro Front End architecture, and UX implementation.
• Experience converting Figma designs into responsive, reusable, and accessible Angular components and user interfaces.
• Knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases, Git, automated testing, CI/CD, containers, and cloud-native platforms.
• Understanding of secure, scalable, resilient, and observable software design.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
