Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Gurugram to implement and migrate business workflows using Camunda 8, BPMN 2.0, and DMN/FEEL, integrating with SAP and other systems via a shared Integration Layer. You will deliver process components, testing, and documentation in a structured migration backlog.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build REST-based integrations, participate in migration tasks, and ensure quality through testing and proper handover

Qualifications

• 5-10 years overall software engineering experience, including Camunda 8 or similar BPM/workflow engine.
• Senior-level experience executing structured migration work within a defined backlog and batch sequencing.
• Proven delivery translating business requirements into BPMN 2.0 and DMN/FEEL implementations.
• Strong REST API experience building and consuming integrations.
• Good testing discipline with unit/integration testing and defect triage.
• Strong documentation and knowledge transfer capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Implement BPMN 2.0 process models, DMN decision tables, and Camunda Forms as per business requirements.
• Migrate and refine processes, review AI-generated drafts, and support REST-based redesign under guidance.
• Build and configure service tasks, gateways, and REST/HTTP connectors against existing Integration Layer APIs.
• Implement ABAC/PBAC access control and DMN-based routing logic.
• Develop and unit-test process components against test cases and acceptance criteria.
• Support integration testing with SAP and other systems via the Integration Layer.
• Participate in UAT cycles and help batch sign-off within SLA.
• Document processes, configurations, and known issues for handover.
• Follow Camunda engineering standards and quality metrics set by Development POD.
• Flag documentation gaps vs production behavior for escalation.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to implement and migrate business workflows using Camunda 8, BPMN 2.0, and DMN/FEEL while integrating with SAP and other systems via a shared Integration Layer. You will deliver high-quality process components, testing, and documentation in a structured migration backlog.

Responsibilities

• Implement BPMN 2.0 process models, DMN decision tables, and Camunda Forms based on confirmed business requirements
• Execute the assigned migration approach by process tier, including reviewing AI-generated drafts, reworking rules and integrations, and supporting REST-based redesign under Lead guidance
• Build and configure service tasks, gateways, and REST/HTTP connectors against existing Integration Layer APIs
• Implement ABAC/PBAC access control rules and DMN-based approver and routing logic per confirmed mapping
• Develop and unit-test process components against defined test cases and acceptance criteria
• Support integration testing with SAP and other connected systems via the shared Integration Layer
• Participate in UAT cycles to address defects, incorporate process owner feedback, and support batch sign-off within the agreed review SLA
• Document implemented processes, configurations, and known issues to support handover and knowledge transfer
• Follow Camunda engineering standards and quality metrics set by the Development POD
• Flag documentation gaps or discrepancies versus production TIBCO behavior for escalation

Requirements

• 5-10 years overall software engineering experience, including Camunda 8 (or comparable BPM/workflow engine)
• Senior-level experience executing structured migration work within a defined backlog and batch sequencing
• Proven project delivery experience translating confirmed business requirements into BPMN 2.0 and DMN/FEEL implementations
• Strong REST API experience building and consuming integrations
• Solid testing discipline with unit testing, integration testing, and defect triage
• Strong communication skills to document processes, configurations, and known issues for handover
