The role is with one of the Fusion 360 teams in the Design and Manufacturing Organization within the Product Design and Manufacturing Solutions division and is located in Pune.
Responsibilities
- Work on a truly Agile team with small user stories, week‑long sprints, weekly retrospectives, and a strong emphasis on test automation for all code changes.
- Collaborate closely and iteratively with developers, testers, and user experience designers.
- Operate confidently in a complex development environment with Source Vault interacting with cloud services.
- Communicate frequently with distributed scrum teams in the US, Europe, and Shanghai.
- Navigate large legacy code bases, troubleshoot problems, and find surgical solutions within them.
- Respond quickly to multiple priorities under changing conditions.
- Program primarily in C++ using Microsoft Visual Studio on Windows and Xcode on OS X.
- Prepare submission documents for code submissions and actively participate in code reviews.
- Mentor other team members.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Show passion for customer success.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5‑10 years of industry experience building and delivering robust, performant, and maintainable commercial applications.
- Strong C++ skills and knowledge of data structures, object‑oriented programming, design patterns, and computer science fundamentals.
- Experience with Windows programming and Microsoft Visual Studio IDE.
- Experience with macOS programming and Xcode IDE is a plus.
- Leadership experience as a Team Lead or Tech Lead in prior roles is a plus.
- Experience in all aspects of application development, including graphics, command‑line interface, database, and functional capabilities is a plus.
- Experience using AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar) to improve software development productivity, code quality, and engineering efficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively leverage AI technologies for code generation, testing, debugging, documentation, and problem solving while maintaining high standards of quality, security, and engineering judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with JavaScript, JSON, Jira, and Jenkins is a plus.
- Experience with Qt is a plus.
- Mechanical engineering background is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Agile.
- Experience in CAD software development is a plus.
Salary Transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
