Job summary

Google Cloud seeks a Senior Software Engineer to advance AI/ML capabilities at scale. You will design, implement, and test software across end-to-end ML pipelines using Python or C++ in a fast-paced team environment.

Ideal candidates combine strong programming and debugging skills with experience in ML systems, speech, or reinforcement learning, and scalable infrastructure. In most cases, in-person interviews are conducted during the hiring process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience programming in Python or C++.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• 3 years of experience with one or more ML areas: speech/audio, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or related field.
• 3 years of experience with end-to-end Machine Learning: deployment, evaluation, data processing, debugging.

• Collaborate through design and code reviews to ensure best practices.
• Contribute to documentation and adapt content to updates and feedback.
• Triage issues and debug/track/resolve impacts on hardware, network, or service operations.

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  
• 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.

• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
