We are in an exciting phase of expansion and are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to drive the technical evolution of our core enterprise engineering team.

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced, self-driven Senior Software Engineer to own, architect, and deliver complex, mission-critical modules across our enterprise product suite. In this role, you will collaborate directly with the Lead Architect and Technical Leadership to design high-throughput systems, set engineering best practices, and mentor mid-level and junior developers. You will go beyond feature implementation by actively shaping technical design, reducing system complexity, optimizing database performance, and driving overall code quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Ownership & Design: Design, and implement complex, highly scalable features for mission-critical core modules, such as the Production Planning Engine
• Architecture & Standards: Translate high-level architectural visions and Technical Design Documents (TDDs) into robust, clean, and maintainable Java/J2EE architectures while contributing to overall technical design decisions.
• Full-Stack Implementation: Build responsive, performant Angular UI components aligned with enterprise data-flow standards, backed by resilient Spring Boot RESTful microservices.
• Database Engineering & Performance: Design complex schemas, write optimized SQL, and develop high-performance stored procedures for MSSQL/Oracle databases. Analyze execution plans and optimize low-performing queries.
• Code Governance & Mentorship: Lead rigorous code reviews focused on maintainability, security, and performance. Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through pair programming and architectural guidance.
• Technical Debt & Refactoring: Proactively identify technical debt, benchmark system performance, and propose targeted refactoring strategies to the Lead Architect.
• Production Excellence: Diagnose and resolve complex production issues, including memory leaks, thread locks, concurrency bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with QA lead, Business Analysts, and Product Managers to define edge cases, clarify ambiguous requirements, and streamline the release lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years of hands-on professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale platforms.
• Backend Mastery: Deep proficiency in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, Multithreading, and concurrent programming techniques.
• Frontend Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Angular component architecture, state management, reactive programming (RxJS), and RESTful API integration.
• Database Optimization: Solid expertise in MSSQL or Oracle, including advanced indexing, query tuning, stored procedures, and execution plan analysis.
• Software Design: Advanced understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, clean architecture, and common design patterns (e.g., Factory, Singleton, Observer, Strategy).
• DevOps & Tooling: Hands-on experience with CI/CD automation (Jenkins, GitLab CI), version control (Git), containerization (Docker), and automated code analysis tools (SonarQube).
• Problem-Solving: Proven ability to work independently, translate high-level business goals into scalable technical solutions, and troubleshoot complex production environments.
• Communication: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate technical trade-offs, risks, and design choices to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
