Job summary

FalconX in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Risk team to architect next-generation risk solutions for clients, including institutions in crypto markets. You will build scalable, fast, reliable risk tooling and help FalconX evolve its risk technology.

You will mentor teammates, work on distributed architectures in Linux/AWS environments, and use Python to implement robust solutions. A degree in CS/EE/Math/Physics and at least 4 years in quant risk are expected, with strong

• Degree in CS/EE/Financial Engineering/Math/Physics or equivalent.
• Professional experience (at least 4 years) in a quant risk role.
• Experience in risk management in a trading environment (hedge fund or bank).
• Knowledge of a range of financial products and derivatives asset classes.
• Strong passion for analytical, out-of-the-box thinking and problem solving.
• Extensive experience with software engineering, object-oriented coding design and complex, distributed architectures.
• Comfortable working with Linux/AWS environments.
• Python programming experience and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Proactive with ownership and collaboration across risk, product and engineering teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance FalconX’s proprietary risk management tools, infrastructure, risk data, and processes.
• Architect and build scalable, robust, performant risk solutions for institutional customers and internal teams.
• Work closely with multiple members of the risk team to develop, maintain and improve the risk management stack.
