The Senior Software Engineer will lead the development of AI‑powered design automation platforms, focusing on full-stack development and integration of complex engineering workflows.

Job Description

We are building next‑generation AI‑powered software platforms that will transform how complex buildings, infrastructure, and engineered environments are designed, validated, documented, and managed. This role sits at the intersection of modern product engineering, applied AI, design automation, procedural generation, CAD/BIM workflows, simulation, and scalable cloud‑native software architecture.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work on sophisticated internal software products used to automate and augment engineering, architecture, and design workflows. These systems combine rich user experiences, structured data models, generative design engines, validation logic, agentic workflows, and integrations with industry‑standard engineering tools.

We are looking for highly capable senior engineers who thrive in ambiguity, take ownership beyond implementation, and enjoy building products from first principles. The ideal candidate has independently owned significant parts of a product or platform lifecycle—from understanding stakeholder needs and translating them into engineering specifications, to designing systems and delivering production‑ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Technical Leadership

• End-to-End Delivery: Own and deliver substantial parts of our AI‑powered design automation platform from concept to production.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work directly with product leaders, domain experts, architects, and engineers to translate complex, real‑world workflows into clear technical specifications.
• Architecture & Design: Make critical architecture decisions, balancing trade‑offs between speed, quality, scalability, and maintainability in an environment with evolving requirements.
• Mentorship: Mentor peers through thoughtful technical leadership, comprehensive design reviews, and high‑quality engineering execution.

Software Engineering & Execution

• Full‑Stack Development: Design and ship production‑grade features using React, TypeScript, Redux/RTK, Tailwind CSS, Python, and FastAPI.
• Backend & APIs: Build scalable APIs, backend services, data models, and workflow orchestration systems supporting complex engineering and automation use cases.
• Frontend UX: Develop intuitive, high‑performance user experiences for data‑intensive and geometry‑rich applications.
• Systems Integration: Integrate the platform with third‑party engineering, design, identity, cloud, and enterprise systems.
• Security & DevOps: Design secure systems utilizing modern auth protocols and establish strong engineering practices around CI/CD, testing, observability, and monitoring.
• AI Implementation: Explore and implement AI‑powered workflows, agentic systems, LLM tool integrations, and automation capabilities.

Role Requirements

Education

• B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Strongly Preferred: Graduates from premier institutions with exceptional technical rigor (e.g., IITs, Top NITs, BITS Pilani, IIIT Hyderabad, IIIT Bangalore, or equivalents).

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience (Candidates with less than 5 years of experience will not be considered).
• Demonstrated experience independently driving technical initiatives and owning substantial parts of a large platform.
• Proven track record of delivering business‑critical production software used by real users.
• Experience collaborating with non‑software domain experts to turn complex workflows into usable software.

Technical Stack & Qualifications

Frontend

• Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, Redux / Redux Toolkit, and Tailwind CSS.
• Strong understanding of component architecture, state management, performance optimization, complex forms, and workflow‑heavy interfaces.

Backend & Databases

• Advanced experience with Python, FastAPI, RESTful API design, Pydantic, OpenAPI, and service‑oriented backend architecture.
• Strong SQL fundamentals with experience in PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or equivalent relational databases (schema design and query optimization).
• Ability to model complex domain entities. Bonus: Exposure to NoSQL databases, graph‑like data models, or document stores.

Security & Platform Engineering

• Experience with OAuth 2.0 / OIDC, Azure AD integration, secrets management, audit logging, access control frameworks, and secure API design.

DevOps & Reliability

• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, unit/integration testing, monitoring/observability, and production debugging.
• Preferred: OpenTelemetry, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and containerized deployment workflows.
