As a Senior Software Engineer within the SE&I organization in Bengaluru, you will play a key role in transforming business needs into impactful technology solutions. Your success will be measured not only by the quality of the software you build, but also by your ability to leverage AI, exercise sound judgment, collaborate effectively across teams, and deliver outcomes that improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and business value.

The selected candidate will serve as an AI-Native Software Engineer, at times acting as a FDE, partnering closely with Business co builders, and architects.

Success in this role requires strong critical thinking, sound judgment, curiosity, communication skills, and the ability to influence without formal authority. This role is responsible for understanding the why, what, and desired outcomes behind a solution before determining the how. The ideal candidate can navigate ambiguity, ask thoughtful questions, challenge assumptions constructively, and guide teams toward the right solutions.

As part of an AI-native engineering organization, the successful candidate will continuously explore new technologies, leverage AI to improve engineering outcomes, contribute to the adoption of AI development platforms, apply sound judgment in selecting AI models and approaches by balancing capability, cost, performance, risk, and business value.

Our Team

The SE&I organization in Bengaluru partners closely with global Georgia-Pacific teams to design, build, and support enterprise technology solutions at scale. As part of the Georgia-Pacific Corporate Capabilities IT Applications team, you will work in a highly collaborative environment focused on modern engineering practices, cloud-native development, AI-enabled software delivery, and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do

• Partner with business co builders, architects, and engineering teams to understand business needs, connect technical decisions to customer value, and translate opportunities into scalable solutions.
• Lead technical discovery, problem framing, and solution design discussions, challenging assumptions, evaluating trade-offs, and guiding teams toward pragmatic, high-value outcomes through sound engineering judgment.
• Influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment without formal authority, while fostering collaboration across business and technology teams to accelerate solution delivery.
• Rapidly prototype, validate, and refine solutions with Business cobuilders, and business users, providing technical recommendations and accelerating the path from idea to production-ready solution.
• Enable AI-native engineering by establishing and evolving engineering guardrails, governance models, reusable patterns, and agentic workflows that support rapid experimentation while maintaining security, reliability, and architectural integrity.
• Leverage AI-native development tools and AI agents throughout the software development lifecycle, guiding agent execution, evaluating outcomes, and transforming prototypes into scalable, resilient, cost-effective, and production-ready solutions.
• Evaluate and select right AI models based on business needs, performance, scalability, and cost considerations.
• Perform architecture assessments and drive performance optimization, resiliency improvements, reduce technical debt, cost efficiency, and fault tolerance.
• Design, build, and evolve APIs, microservices, and integration patterns using AI-assisted engineering practices, ensuring solutions are reusable, scalable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
• Utilize AI-powered development capabilities to accelerate cloud-native solution delivery on AWS.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with a clear and demonstrable growth in scope and impact over time.
• Confident Communicator who can challenge the status quo and ability to influence the stakeholders
• Strong critical thinking, sound judgment, creativity and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make effective decisions and develop innovative solutions in ambiguous situations.
• Self-starter with a strong ownership mindset, intellectual curiosity, and passion for learning emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and modern engineering practices.
• Demonstrated proficiency and hands on experience in AI-native software development, including effective use of AI tools, model selection, and AI-assisted engineering practices that optimize business value, performance, and cost.
• Strong expertise in front-end technologies (Angular, React, Kendo UI).
• Architect back-end solutions leveraging object-oriented design patterns in C#(.NET), min of 5+ years of exp.
• Solid understanding of relational database principles and experience with PostgreSQL and writing/optimizing stored procedures.
• Developing cloud-native applications in AWS including hands-on familiarity with services such as Lambda, s3, Appsync, EC2, SNS, etc.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., GitHub, Gitlab).

• Track record of transforming prototypes into secure, production-ready solutions.

Other Considerations

• Full-time, hybrid work with 3days in-office (Bengaluru) at minimum.
• Working hours: 12 PM to 9 PM IST.
• No fixed on-call expectation; occasional production support may be required for critical incidents.
