Job summary

Tipsons Group is seeking Senior Software Engineers with 4-6 years of experience to join our Fintech engineering team. You will be split across two pillars: building secure, customer-facing web applications using Next.js and the MERN stack, and scaling back-office transaction and operations management software.

You will design robust data models in PostgreSQL/MySQL, build REST/GraphQL APIs, and contribute to code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of software engineering experience.
• Fintech domain understanding is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of React.js, Next.js, Node.js, and NestJS.
• Experience with relational databases and secure data handling.

Job description

We are looking for Senior Software Engineers with 4-6 years of experience to join our Fintech engineering team. In this role, you will be split across two critical pillars of our financial ecosystem: building secure, high-performance customer-facing applications and scaling our internal back-office transaction and operations management software.

• Fintech Product Delivery: Build and maintain responsive, highly secure customer-facing web applications using Next.js and the MERN stack.
• Back-Office Engineering: Develop scalable back-office systems, internal dashboards, and automated workflows using NestJS to support financial operations, risk management, and compliance teams.
• Data Integrity & Security: Design optimized database schemas, transaction models, and ledger records in PostgreSQL and MySQL, ensuring absolute data consistency and zero-loss financial tracking.
• API Ecosystems: Securely build and integrate internal RESTful/GraphQL APIs and third-party financial services (e.g., payment gateways, KYC, banking networks).
• Code Excellence: Maintain high test coverage (unit/integration tests) for mission-critical payment loops, and perform regular code reviews.
• Technical Mentorship: Guide junior and mid-level engineers in building resilient backend microservices and sleek frontends.
• Frontend Mastery: Advanced knowledge of React.js and Next.js (Server-Side Rendering, App Router) with a focus on web performance, accessibility, and client-side security.
• Robust Backend Development: Deep experience with Node.js and building modular, enterprise-grade architectures using NestJS.
• Relational Database Expertise: Strong proficiency in writing complex, optimized queries, connection pooling, and indexing in PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Fintech Mindset: Solid understanding of financial application fundamentals, such as data encryption, secure token management, data audit trails, and handling concurrent transactions.
• Tooling & DevOps: Strong command over Git, Docker, and standard CI/CD deployment pipelines. Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) is preferred.
