Job Summary:

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (Senior SDET) – Data Cloud, you will provide technical leadership for quality engineering, test automation, and validation activities across cloud-native services supporting medical devices, mobile applications, partner integrations, telemetry processing, and analytics platforms. This is a highly hands-on role focused on automation, test architecture, and release quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead development and execution of automated functional, integration, and end-to-end testing:
• Design and enhance automation frameworks supporting cloud-native services
• Drive automation-first quality practices across APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
• Partner with development teams to identify, reproduce, and resolve defects early
• Participate in architecture, design, and release reviews from a quality perspective
• Lead defect triage, root cause analysis, and release validation activitiesProvide technical guidance and mentorship to SDET engineers
• Ensure compliance with FDA, HIPAA, and internal quality standards

AI-Driven Testing & Modern Quality Engineering:

• Drive adoption of AI-Driven Development Lifecycle (AI-DLC) quality practices
• Support testing of AWS Bedrock-powered capabilities and AI-enabled workflows
• Validate Agentic AI workflows for correctness, reliability, consistency, observability, and scalability
• Support testing of MCP-based integrations and enterprise data-access patterns, including MuleSoft MCP
• Leverage AI-assisted tools for test generation, regression selection, defect analysis, and reporting
• Help define approaches for validating AI outputs including accuracy, reliability, repeatability, and response quality

Data & Streaming Quality:

• Lead validation of streaming architectures and event-driven systems
• Design testing approaches for Kafka-based systems, telemetry processing, and API-driven integrations
• Validate data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and traceability
• Partner with development and data engineering teams to ensure systems are ready for AI and analytics use cases

Automation, Performance & Reliability:

• Drive expansion of automated test coverage across platform services
• Support performance and scalability validation activities
• Develop automated quality gates within CI/CD pipelines
• Advocate for shift-left testing and continuous quality practices
• Partner with Performance Engineers on throughput, latency, reliability, and scalability validation

Technical Expectations:

• Strong understanding of software testing principles, automation frameworks, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures
• Experience testing APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, and distributed cloud platforms
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or equivalent languages
• Familiarity with AWS services, CI/CD platforms, Git workflows, and observability concepts
• Understanding of AI-powered applications, Agentic AI systems, and MCP integration patterns
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of software testing and automation experience
• Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks
