Autodesk in Bengaluru seeks seasoned software engineers to join the Horizontal Capabilities Team. You will design scalable full-stack systems, implement AI-enabled features, and build reusable platforms empowering product teams across Autodesk lines.

You will work with React frontend, Node.js/Java/Go backend, AWS, and IaC tools, contributing to automated tests, CI/CD pipelines, and on-call support. Strong cloud, data, and AI fundamentals are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with full-stack applications.
• Proficiency in React.js and at least one of Node.js, Java or Go.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services for compute, storage, and data processing.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong experience with both relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, etc.).
• Experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems for distributed data processing.
• Hands-on experience building production-grade AI applications or AI-powered developer/customer tools.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML fundamentals including LLMs, embeddings, vector search, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, AI agents, etc.
• Good understanding of data engineering workflows and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with automation, testing frameworks, CI/CD tools and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or AWS CDK.

• Integrate AI/ML capabilities into products and internal platforms with focus on scalability, observability, security, and reliability.
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines and data workflows for ingesting, transforming, and analyzing large datasets.
• Design schemas, optimize queries, and manage workloads for analytical systems such as Amazon Redshift, Snowflake or ClickHouse.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize for speed, scalability, and uptime.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and engage in architectural discussions.
• Participate in on-call rotation to support production system.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity, development velocity and code quality.
