Guidewire data platform is an enterprise-grade, internet-scale, and cloud-native Big Data platform targeted to be best-in-class in enabling our customers with mission critical insights and decision-making capabilities. The platform is designed to support all of our analytics, data science, and data applications. Guidewire’s data platform already processes Billions of real-time data to provide a rich set of AI/ML SaaS solutions! You will work in a highly collaborative environment building next-generation platforms and services using the latest and greatest cutting-edge & bleeding-edge technologies. You will have fun building cloud-native, enterprise-grade, and internet-scale data platforms and SaaS applications.

Required Skills

Extensive experience with testing and automating Big Data and micro service based distributed systems
Prior experience in testing data platforms using Big Data stack (Kafka or Spark or Hive) on public cloud (AWS/Azure)
Good problem solving and analytical skills to triage issues in a complex multi-tier environment
Understanding of testing distributed systems concepts (consistency and availability, liveness and safety, durability, reliability, fault-tolerance, consensus algorithms)
Expertise in REST API testing and automation using Karate, Cucumber
UI testing and automation tools (Selenium WebDriver, TestCafe)
Security testing in cloud native services
Eager to learn new things and passionate about technology!
Comfortable working with Kubernetes, Docker.

What you would do

Design and develop test automation for cloud-native data platform and analytics SaaS services
Participate in Agile development process and work closely with developers and product owners to test/automate features as they’re built with-in a sprint
Building automation framework and tools
Test and Automate micro-services and analytics SaaS solutions
Drive testing and automation for Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) of services
Develop Test strategy for scalability, availability, and data security of services.

What you would need to succeed

5+ years of required work experience
Prior experience and passion for automating large scale multi-tenant cloud-native data platform
Emphasize team wins over individual success
Strong technical interpersonal skills to collaborate with Dev/PM/Operations team
Good programming skills in Java/Python or scripting languages.
Expertise testing in Spark/Kafka/Hadoop ecosystem (AWS)
Experience with containers technology
Ability to work in an agile fast-paced environment
BS or MS degree (Computer Science)
