Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 3+ years in Platform Engineering, SRE or Software Engineering.
• 1+ year on a SaaS platform.
• Strong programming in C#, Python or Java.
• Production Kubernetes experience at scale.
• Proficiency with Azure.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform preferred, Ansible or CloudFormation).
• Strong scripting in Bash, PowerShell or Python.
• Experience with observability tools (DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana).

Responsibilities

• Drive platform reliability through mitigation strategies, playbooks, and RCAs/post-mortems.
• Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, logging systems.
• Participate in on-call rotations, ensuring rapid incident response.
• Scale cloud infrastructure to handle growing traffic/demand.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using IaC.
• Monitor and tune databases for HA and performance.
• Partner with product engineering to build observable software.
• Define SLIs, SLOs, SLAs across teams.
• Mentor and uplift the team via code reviews and knowledge-sharing.

You'll join a globally distributed Site Reliability & Platform Engineering team operating in a "follow-the-sun" model, working across a multi-region cloud platform that powers mission-critical operations at scale.

What You'll Own

• Drive platform reliability through mitigation strategies, operational playbooks, and blameless RCAs/post-mortems
• Build and maintain robust monitoring, alerting, and logging systems
• Participate in on-call rotations, ensuring rapid, effective incident response
• Scale cloud infrastructure to keep pace with growing traffic and data demands
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code
• Monitor and fine-tune databases for high availability and peak performance
• Partner closely with product engineering to build observable, fit-for-purpose software
• Help define SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs that raise the bar across teams
• Mentor and uplevel the team through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, SRE, or Software Engineering
• 1+ years working on a SaaS platform
• Strong programming background in C#, Python, or Java
• Production experience operating Kubernetes at scale
• Proficiency with Azure
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform (preferred), Ansible, or CloudFormation
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python
• Experience with observability tools like DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.

Nice to Have

• CI/CD experience (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy)
• Cloud or DevOps certifications (Azure Solutions Architect, CKA)
• MSSQL performance tuning experience.
