Job summary

Dailyhunt in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced SEO Executive to drive organic visibility for Telugu News and Entertainment sites. You will own end-to-end SEO, coordinate with Editorial, Product, and Tech teams, and implement technical and content optimization strategies.

The role requires hands-on knowledge of Google Search Console, GA4, schema markup, and performance tools, plus the ability to analyze data, fix indexing issues, and report insights.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years hands-on SEO experience.
• Experience with high-traffic News/Media/Entertainment sites.
• Strong knowledge of Google Search, News and Discover.
• Technical SEO: crawling, indexing, sitemaps, robots.txt, redirects.
• GA4 and Google Search Console experience.
• Knowledge of Schema Markup and validation.
• Telugu language knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end SEO activities for Telugu News and Entertainment websites.
• Perform keyword research and identify trending topics and search opportunities.
• Optimize news and entertainment content for Google Search, Google News, and Google Discover.
• Monitor website performance using Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
• Identify and troubleshoot indexing, crawling, canonicalization, sitemap, and other technical SEO issues.
• Conduct regular technical SEO audits and coordinate with developers for implementation.
• Monitor Core Web Vitals and page performance and work with technical teams on improvements.
• Ensure proper implementation of structured data/schema markup, including Article, NewsArticle, Breadcrumb, Video, and other relevant schemas.
• Work closely with editorial teams on SEO-friendly headlines, content optimization, internal linking, and content strategy.
• Monitor Google algorithm updates and identify potential impacts on website traffic.
• Analyze competitors and identify opportunities to improve organic visibility.
• Track daily/weekly traffic performance and prepare SEO reports and actionable insights.
• Monitor Google Discover performance and recommend strategies to improve Discover visibility.
• Ensure compliance with Google Search spam policies and publisher guidelines.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced SEO professional to manage and grow the organic visibility of Telugu News and Entertainment websites. The candidate should have strong knowledge of Technical SEO, Content SEO, Google Search, Google News, and Google Discover. The ideal candidate should be able to work closely with Editorial, Product, and Technology teams to improve organic traffic, search visibility, indexing, and overall SEO performance.

• Knowledge of Schema Markup and structured data validation.
• Strong understanding of keyword research and content optimization.
• Familiarity with Core Web Vitals and page performance optimization.
• Experience using SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Semrush, Ahrefs, or similar tools.
• Ability to analyze traffic drops and identify potential technical or algorithmic issues.
• Good communication and coordination skills to work with Editorial, Product, and Technology teams.
• Knowledge of the Telugu language and the Telugu digital content ecosystem is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing Google News-approved websites.
• Understanding of Google Discover optimisation strategies.
• Experience working with CMS platforms and large-scale publishing websites.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience in analyzing server logs and crawl behavior is an added advantage.

Education: Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Digital Marketing/SEO certifications are an added advantage.
