Job summary

Vrinda International seeks a Senior Security Engineer to design and enforce security, privacy, and Responsible AI controls for a health concierge AI platform. This hybrid role requires 8–10 years in cybersecurity and 5+ years in Azure security implementation.

You will collaborate with Security, Architecture, Cloud, DevOps, SRE, and AI teams to implement Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, and Zero Trust across cloud environments, data protection, and compliance programs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of cybersecurity/security engineering experience.
• 5+ years Azure security implementation experience.
• Strong experience with Zero Trust network and identity controls.
• Experience with Private Endpoints, WAF, network segmentation, and secrets management.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST, PHI handling, audit evidence, data residency, and retention.
• Understanding of Responsible AI / AI Security controls.
• Experience in security reviews, control validation, audits, vulnerability remediation, and production readiness assessments.

Responsibilities

• Implement and validate Azure security controls including RBAC, PIM, Key Vault, encryption, Private Endpoints, Defender for Cloud, and Azure Policy.
• Implement Zero Trust principles, least-privilege access, network segmentation, secure egress, WAF, and private connectivity.
• Support HIPAA/HITRUST-aligned security controls, audit evidence, data residency, encryption, and retention requirements.
• Implement AI security controls including PII/PHI protection, content safety, prompt-injection safeguards, grounding, and human oversight.
• Conduct security assessments, policy compliance reviews, vulnerability remediation, and production readiness validation.
• Configure and validate audit logs, transcript retention, immutable audit storage, and operational security logs.
• Identify security risks, document mitigating controls, and support security sign-off activities.
• Collaborate with Security, Architecture, Cloud, DevOps, SRE, and AI Engineering teams.
