Job summary

McKinsey & Company in India is seeking a security-focused professional to strengthen our Product Security team. You will contribute to practice and cloud security across AWS or Azure, aligning with our security standards and growth trajectory.

You will embed Shift Left strategies, collaborate with CSTs, and influence secure product development, data handling, and governance throughout engagements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Product Security, Application Security, Security Engineering, or Information Security.
• Good understanding of Secure SDLC, DevSecOps, and application security best practices.
• Experience conducting Product Security Reviews (PSRs), threat modelling, risk assessments, and reviewing authentication, authorization, API security, and data protection controls.
• Knowledge of cloud and enterprise technologies (Azure, AWS, Databricks, containers, networking, databases, IAM).
• Experience with security tools such as SAST, SCA (JFrog), SonarQube, WAF, SIEM, IAM, vulnerability management, and cloud security platforms (e.g., Wiz).
• Familiarity with security automation, CI/CD security integration, and implementing security controls within engineering workflows.
• Knowledge of security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, OWASP.
• Exposure to GenAI/LLM security and AI governance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to practice product and cloud security across AWS or Azure by supporting the implementation of the firm's security standards in alignment with the strategic business plan.
• Embed Shift Left strategies, tools, and processes across the software development lifecycle. Coordinate with CSTs to ensure cybersecurity considerations are integrated throughout engagement delivery, including infrastructure and tooling decisions, secure product development, and data processing/deletion.

Your Impact
