Evora is hiring a Senior SAP Data Engineer to own the core data platform behind our Analytics Practice, from ingestion and modeling through to the governed consumption layer used by downstream analytics teams. You’ll work hands-on with SAP Datasphere, HANA Cloud, and SAP Business Data Cloud, integrating SAP and non-SAP sources.

5+ years in data engineering/analytics with SAP data platform delivery.
Hands-on with SAP Datasphere (2+ yrs) and HANA Cloud modeling (4+ yrs).
2+ end-to-end Datasphere or BW/4HANA implementations in build/lead roles.
Expert SQL (window/analytical functions, query plan analysis).

Responsibilities

Architect and optimize SAP data platform solutions using SAP Business Data Cloud, Datasphere, and HANA Cloud.
Build data models in Datasphere — spaces, tables, views, associations, analytic models — end to end.
Implement and tune replication/transformation flows, including delta/CDC handling and error recovery.
Set up connectivity via ODP, ABAP CDS, SLT, Smart Data Integration, and JDBC.
Model on HANA Cloud: calculation views, SQL Script, partitioning, performance tuning.
Make and own architecture calls on federation vs. persistence, data tiering, and cost.
Operate the platform in production — monitoring, incident response, transport management.
Support pre‑sales: solution demos, architecture walkthroughs, scoping support.
Represent Evora externally — workshops, SAP Community content, conference speaking

We're hiring a Senior SAP Data Engineer to own the core data platform behind our growing Analytics Practice from ingestion and modeling through to the governed consumption layer that downstream analytics teams build on. You'll work hands‑on across SAP Business Data Cloud, Datasphere, and HANA Cloud, integrating SAP and non-SAP sources, and also get visibility with clients through pre‑sales support, workshops, and community engagement.

What You Bring

5+ years in data engineering/analytics with proven SAP data platform delivery
Hands‑on: SAP Datasphere (2+ yrs), HANA/HANA Cloud modeling (4+ yrs), BW/4HANA or BW-on-HANA (3+ yrs)
2+ end-to-end Datasphere or BW/4HANA implementations in a build/lead role
Expert SQL (window/analytical functions, query plan analysis)
Experience extracting from S/4HANA or ECC (CDS views, ODP delta extraction)
Python or SQL Script for automation and tooling
Strong stakeholder communication skills
