Job summary

PeerLogic Systems LLP. in Pune, India, is seeking an experienced Ruby developer to design, develop, and support a real-time data monitoring application and dashboard for a VoIP network.

You will write clean Ruby code on Linux, optimize performance, and ensure reliability across high-traffic systems. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of Ruby experience, strong OO principles, experience with Redis/MongoDB/CouchDB, and familiarity with dev-automation, source control, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing Ruby applications on Linux.
• Strong object-oriented programming abilities.
• Experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript is a plus.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Redis, MongoDB, or CouchDB.

Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems

Required Skills:

• 5+ yrs of experience developing Ruby applications on Linux platform with exposure to HTML, CSS and javascripts
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
• Experience with any one NoSQL solution like Redis, MongoDB, CouchDB is a must
• Deep understanding of high traffic, highly scalable, complex web applications
• Ability to work in a dev-automation environment with some source control, continuousintegration/delivery systems
• Good problem solving/analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Preferred Skills:

• Conversant with Elasticsearch, Neo4j and D3.js
• Inclination to GO programming
• Experience working with open source projects
