Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, ML, or related field.
• 3+ years of industry experience in ML/AI research or software development.
• Strong foundation in AI/ML concepts including deep learning, NLP, and computer vision.
• Proven experience building and scaling complex AI/ML systems in production or near-production environments.
• Familiarity with LLMs, agentic AI, retrieval systems, and multimodal models.
• Exposure to MCP, tool-calling systems, AI orchestration frameworks, or model-to-system integration patterns.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Apply research to improve existing ML/AI-driven products and optimize systems.
• Collaborate across product, platform, and engineering teams to translate research into scalable AI capabilities.
• Design, prototype, and evaluate advanced AI systems spanning deep learning, multimodal models, LLMs, and retrieval systems.

• Build and maintain the research infrastructure for training, experimentation, deployment, and benchmarking.
• Improve model runtime efficiency and deployment readiness for cloud and on-premise environments.
• Explore MCP, tool orchestration, and structured integrations enabling AI models to interact with enterprise tools.
• Analyze model behavior, run experiments, benchmark results, and identify opportunities for impact.
• Influence the roadmap for AI-native products through research insights and technical direction.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Research Scientist, you will drive innovation at the intersection of research, systems engineering, and real-world enterprise deployment. You’ll advance our applied ML/AI capabilities, optimize models and infrastructure at scale, and guide technical roadmaps that influence the future of AI in financial services.

The ideal candidate combines strong statistical foundations, hands-on engineering skills, business intuition, and the curiosity to work on emerging paradigms such as multi-agent systems, Model Context Protocol (MCP), retrieval systems, and AI orchestration.

Responsibilities:

• Apply research expertise to improve existing ML/AI-driven products, develop new solution directions, and optimize current systems for real-world performance.
• Work across product, platform, and engineering teams to translate research into scalable AI capabilities and accelerate adoption across the company.
• Design, prototype, and evaluate advanced AI systems spanning deep learning, multimodal models, LLMs, retrieval systems, and agentic workflows.
• Contribute to the development of next-generation AI architectures, including multi-agent systems, reasoning pipelines, contextual memory, and tool-using AI systems.
• Build and maintain the research infrastructure required for training, experimentation, deployment, and benchmarking, including data pipelines, experiment tracking, evaluation frameworks, and visualization tools.
• Improve model runtime efficiency, scalability, and deployment readiness for both cloud and on-premise environments.
• Explore and implement MCP, tool orchestration, and structured system integrations that allow AI models and agents to interact with enterprise tools and workflows.
• Analyze model behavior, run experiments, benchmark results, and identify opportunities for quality, robustness, and business impact improvements.
• Influence the roadmap for AI-native products through research insights, feasibility analysis, and technical direction.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of industry experience in machine learning, deep learning, AI research, or software development.
• Strong foundation in AI/ML concepts including deep learning, neural networks, computer vision, NLP, and applied data science.
• Proven experience building and scaling complex AI/ML systems in production or near-production environments.
• Familiarity with modern AI research areas such as LLMs, agentic AI, retrieval systems, multimodal models, and autonomous workflow design.
• Exposure to MCP, tool-calling systems, AI orchestration frameworks, or model-to-system integration patterns.
• Experience working with large-scale datasets, complex business systems, and cross-functional product or engineering teams.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both business and technical stakeholders.
