Job summary

Valeo India Private Limited is seeking a Senior R&D Resident Engineer for Front Office to bridge Customer Technical Teams andValeo R&D in ongoing projects. You will deliver customer insights, pre-evaluate requests, and help prepare technical and commercial offers with RFQ teams.

You will ensure alignment with customer expectations, secure technical approvals during RFQ, and coordinate R&D activities including night drives and vehicle tests with the customer.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and direct information from customer sources (tech road map, customer benchmark) to support business development before RFQ.
• Analyze and pre-evaluate customer technical requests, ensuring Valeo project teams understand requirements.
• Participate in creating and presenting technical & commercial offers with RFQ teams.
• Ensure correct understanding of customer expectations and obtain technical approvals during RFQ phase.
• Coordinate R&D teams during night drive test preparation and participate in system and vehicle testing with the customer.

The Front Office / Resident R&D Eng ineer : Creates and manages relationships between Technical C ustomer T eams and Valeo in the field of R&D projects, in order to increase intimacy with the customer: Business and Development Responsible of alerting in case of potential issues in technical relationship between Valeo and Customer To support acquisition projects: RFI / RFQ

• Responsible to deliver accurate and direct information from customer sources (technological road map, customer benchmark) to support business development before receiving RFQ
• Analyses and makes pre-evaluation of customer technical requests and translates/ensures perfect understanding of requirements by VALEO Project Teams.
• Participation in the creation and presentation of technical & commercial offers in coordination with RFQ Teams of the DC’s
• Ensure the correct understanding of the customer expectations.
• To get approval from customer about Valeo technical concept during RFQ phase: negotiate to get technical green light
• To support projects development: P1 SOP and after - Technical interface (bi-directionnal) between Customer Technical Teams and Valeo R&D PTM, including on site meetings, as a list of open points, customer compliance matrix approval, drawings, specifications, specific customer document ation, customer standards, manuals, translations, etc.
• Responsible to identify technical customer changes and supports to get a technical agreement from customer on Engineering Change Requests (ECRs)
• Supports information data exchange between customer and Valeo, with right usage of specific customer tools
• Supports and manages necessary approvals from the customer (drawings, software deliveries or its deviations)
• Coordinates R&D Team during the night drive test preparation (or other R&D technical validation activities) and participation to System and Vehicle testing with Customer
• Participate to validation activities at vehicle level with customer and ensure that the results are shared with P1 team
• For 0 km and Warranty Responsible for first level of technical analysis and collecting relevant information in order to facilitate the warranty analysis by Development Center
• Collect parts / bring parts from / to customer (flashing actions, prototypes sorting, support of returned parts analysis after durability tests at customer, etc…)
• Manages local tech shows and events for PG communication and marketing teams
