Job summary

ELLKAY is seeking a high-velocity Senior Release & Delivery Manager to standardize, optimize, and scale our release ecosystems across engineering teams. You will be a hands-on leader, orchestrating complex cross-functional releases and leveraging Next-Gen AI capabilities to transform project management.

You will own the enterprise release lifecycle, architect our Jira object model, and bridge between senior engineering leaders, product management, and compliance.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years in Release Management, Technical Project Management, or Engineering Operations within SaaS/enterprise software or healthcare tech.
• Proven Jira mastery: complex schemas, roadmaps, automation, portfolio frameworks from scratch.
• AI fluent: hands-on with LLM productivity tools; familiar with Jira AI features (Jira Rovo).
• Deep Agile expertise: SAFe, Scrum, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and govern a unified enterprise release management strategy across multiple product streams.
• Architect and optimize Jira Development Process and object model for cross-team visibility and portfolio planning.
• Leverage AI tools to automate admin tasks, accelerate issue tracking, and generate predictive insights.

Job Description

ELLKAY is seeking a high-velocity Senior Release & Delivery Manager to standardize, optimize, and scale our release and delivery ecosystems across all engineering teams. You are a hands-on leader who isn't just managing a checklist, but orchestrating complex cross-functional releases while fundamentally changing how project management is executed using Next-Gen AI capabilities.

You will own the enterprise release management lifecycle, architect our Jira object model, and act as the primary operational bridge between senior engineering leaders, product management, and compliance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Enterprise Release Orchestration & Governance

• Design, implement, and govern a unified enterprise release management strategy across multiple complex, parallel product streams with rigorous, multi-tenant delivery cadences.
• Manage dependencies, risks, and release schedules across all engineering squads, ensuring zero downtime, continuous integration, and strict adherence to healthcare compliance standards.
• Establish clear metrics for release quality, deployment velocity, and operational readiness.

Jira Architecture & Agile Coaching

• Act as the ultimate domain expert for Jira Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
• Architect and optimize our Jira Development Process and Object Model (Epics, Features, Initiatives, Custom Fields, and Workflows) to establish cross-team visibility, clean data lineages, and seamless portfolio-level release planning.
• Coach, mentor, and guide engineering teams on Jira best practices to ensure high-fidelity data input, minimizing developer friction while maximizing tracking accuracy.

AI-Powered Productivity & Operations

• Personal & Team Productivity: Savvy at the use of AI assistant tools (e.g., Claude Cowork, ChatGPT Work) to automate personal administrative overhead, synthesize notes, and expedite workflows.
• Enterprise AI Tooling: Deeply integrate and leverage tools like Jira Rovo to accelerate search, automate repetitive issue tracking, map complex knowledge gaps, and drive contextual insights across Jira spaces.
• Predictive Reporting: Leverage AI-driven analytics to move from reactive project tracking to predictive forecasting (e.g., automated sprint velocity degradation alerts, AI-synthesized release notes, and risk identification).

Executive Reporting & High-Fidelity Dashboards

• Construct and maintain high-fidelity, real-time executive dashboards that provide unambiguous clarity on project health, release readiness, and team capacity.
• Translate deep technical metrics into highly consumable, actionable status updates for the executive leadership team.

Qualifications

• Experience: 8-10+ years of dedicated experience in Release Management, Technical Project Management, or Engineering Operations within a high-growth SaaS, enterprise software, or healthcare tech environment.
• Jira Master: Proven track record of configuring complex Jira schemas, advanced roadmaps, automation rules, and portfolio management frameworks from scratch.
• AI Fluent: Practical, hands-on experience using LLM-based productivity tools and agentic workflows to augment project management capabilities. Strong familiarity with Jira’s AI features (Jira Rovo) is required.
• Agile Expertise: Deep understanding of Scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe), Scrum, and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
