Job summary

State Street, via Charles River Development, seeks a senior React expert to provide technical authority and lead advanced problem solving within the UI Framework team in Platform Engineering. The role focuses on moving towards cloud-based Azure/AKS infrastructure, advancing micro-frontend architectures and scalable front-end solutions.

• Engage in the agile software development process by adhering to and advancing the CRD scrum methodology, including attending all daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
• Collaborate with global teams on platform initiatives.

Job description

We are looking for a React expert to provide senior technical authority for React-based development, providing deep expertise, independent decision making, and local leadership for advanced problem solving within our UI Framework team.

Our Platform Engineering organization is innovating and transforming our platform by moving away from monolithic software to utilizing next generation cloud-based technology that leverages Microsoft Azure, AKS, React, etc. The UI Framework team is an integral part of this strategic modernization.

Responsibilities:

• Lead complex React-based design, development and implementation decisions.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to create simple and sustainable software architectures and solutions for complex problems
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for escalated issues.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.

Recommended Experience:

• 10 -17 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of React and modern JavaScript frameworks, including the eco-systems these operate in
• Strong experience with architectural decision making.
• Experience leveraging AI tools as part of routine development and work activities
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience in financial services is a plus.
• Experience inMicro-Frontend Architecturedesired.
