Job summary

Bounteous in Bengaluru seeks an experienced React Developer with hands-on exposure to Java-based backend systems to build high-performance, scalable web applications for global clients. You will work with designers, backend engineers, and product stakeholders to deliver seamless digital experiences, and collaborate across the stack when needed.

The role is front-end heavy with responsibilities spanning component design, API integration, testing, and mentorship, within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience with React.js.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience with state management tools like Redux, Context API, or Zustand.
• Hands-on with React Hooks, functional components and modern React patterns.
• Working knowledge of Java and Spring Boot, including REST APIs integration.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and client-server communication.
• Experience with front-end build tools and bundlers (Webpack, Vite, Babel).
• Familiarity with Jest and React Testing Library for testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-quality web apps using React.js and modern JS/TS.
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for consistent UI across projects.
• Integrate front-end apps with REST APIs and Java/Spring Boot microservices.
• Contribute to backend development when needed (Java services).

This role suits someone who is strong on the front end and comfortable working across the stack when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-quality web applications using React.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for consistent, maintainable UI across projects.
• Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and microservices built on Java/Spring Boot.
• Contribute to backend development, including writing and debugging Java services, when project needs require it.
• Optimize applications for performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and designs into pixel-perfect interfaces.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architectural decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 68 years of professional software development experience, with at least 4+ years in React.js.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Solid experience with state management tools such as Redux, Redux Toolkit, Context API, or Zustand.
• Hands-on experience with React Hooks, functional components, and modern React patterns.
• Working knowledge of Java and Spring Boot, including building or consuming REST APIs.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and client-server communication.
• Experience with front-end build tools and bundlers (Webpack, Vite, Babel).
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library.
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
