Hitachi Energy India Development Centre (IDC) is a research and development facility with around 500 R&D engineers, specialists, and experts, who focus on creating and sustaining digital solutions, new products and technology. This includes product integration, testing, cybersecurity, and certification. The India Development Centre is situated in Chennai and Bangalore.
You will be part of Hitachi Energy’s Automation and Communication business in Bangalore. We are responsible for development of protection and control products for power generation, transmission and sub-transmission network applications. Our product offer includes IEDs in the Region 670/650 series as well as the COMBIFLEX family.
You as a Sr. Software R&D Engineer would be responsible for developing PC based desktop applications & products Participate in product requirement workshop to understand the product development requirements and performs software-focused development activities on system/product projects, including design, coding and unit testing of software modules in line with the quality management system Develops new and adapted design of software modules, system setups and system integration You also need to partner well with a variety of different product stakeholder groups, including management at different levels, business analysts and developer’s community You will also be technically responsible to ensure the mutual consistency and efficient integration of the several subsystems in modular, easy-to-maintain and extendible software that meets the product specification. You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
