Job summary

Weekday AI (YC W21) in Mumbai seeks a senior finance researcher to lead macroeconomic analysis and develop financial personality frameworks.

You will direct product scoring models across mutual funds, health and term insurance, credit cards, home loans, and crypto, and oversee asset allocation and stress testing.

Lead the research team, set publication standards, and collaborate on insights for real estate, liability planning, and global economic outlook.

Qualifications

• Must have strong research capability in finance.
• Experience in macroeconomic analysis is a plus.
• Familiarity with financial instruments and markets.

Responsibilities

• Own the firm’s macroeconomic research, tracking high frequency indicators and published views.
• Direct the firm’s product scoring and ranking models across mutual funds, health and term insurance, credit cards, home loans, NPS and crypto.
• Lead development of financial planning models, including asset allocation frameworks, portfolio optimisation methods and stress testing.
• Direct the primary research behind Magazine and periodic research reports (real estate, credit, liability planning, global economic outlook).
• Manage the research team, including hiring, performance reviews, research standards and publication quality.

• Own the firm’s patented behavioural frameworks, covering financial personality and the quality of financial decision-making, including their ongoing calibration and improvement as member data grows
• Direct the firm’s macroeconomic research, covering tracking of high frequency indicators and the macroeconomic views published from it
• Oversee product scoring and ranking models across mutual funds, health and term insurance, credit cards, home loans, NPS and crypto
• Lead the development of financial planning models, including asset allocation frameworks, portfolio optimisation methods and stress testing
• Direct the primary research behind our Magazine and the firm’s periodic research reports (real estate, credit, liability planning, global economic outlook)
