74Software, affiliated with Axway and SBS, invites an IS Test Specialist to join the IS Strategy & Architecture Test team in Noida. This role requires hands-on testing across large digital transformations and frequent run-phase enhancements, balancing thoroughness with delivery speed.

You will design test cases from user stories, execute functional, integration, and regression tests, validate enhancements, and guide users through UAT.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of software testing principles.
• Experience with Agile/Waterfall and defect lifecycle.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, pragmatic, and collaborative mid to senior level IS Test Specialist to join our IS Strategy & Architecture Test team in Noida, India. You will perform hands‑on testing across large digital transformations, medium‑sized projects, and frequent run‑phase enhancements. Working under the guidance of the IS Test Manager, you will balance thoroughness with delivery speed to safeguard system quality, reliability, and usability.

Responsibilities

Test Execution & Design

• Execute Core Testing: Run functional, integration, regression, and basic non-functional tests.
• Create Test Cases: Design clear, reusable, and traceable test scenarios/cases from user stories and risk areas.
• Validate Enhancements: Test small fixes, patches, and incremental updates during regular run phases.
• Monitor Quality: Validate business-focused functional checks, basic KPIs, and user journeys.

Defect Management & Support

• Track Defects: Log, document, and re‑test issues with clear reproduction steps and evidence.
• Guide UAT: Help business users during Business Test and UAT by preparing scenarios, clarifying results, guiding execution and collecting feedback.
• Support Triage: Help assess defect severity and impact on the business.

Documentation & Improvement

• Maintain Records: Update test scripts, execution results, logs, and requirements traceability.
• Refine Practices: Suggest improvements for test scenarios/cases, templates, tools, and workflows.

Qualifications

Technical & Core Skills

• QA Fundamentals: Strong understanding of software testing principles, Agile/Waterfall models and the defect lifecycle.
• Test Management Tools: Hands‑on experience with Jira (Xray/Zephyr) or ALM for test, execution and defect management. Wrike tool knowledge nice to have.
• Data Verification: Basic to intermediate SQL skills to perform database validation checks.
• API Testing: Hands‑on experience validating REST/SOAP APIs.
• Log Analysis: Ability to check and search application logs using basic Unix/Linux commands and familiarity to navigate directories and view files.

Profile & Soft Skills

• Experience: B.E. / B. Tech. with 8+ years of software testing or QA experience.
• Mindset: Structured, curious, reliable, and hands‑on with a strong sense of ownership.
• Communication: Clear verbal and written skills to bridge technical and business teams.
• Languages: Fluent English is required; French language skills are a plus.
