Job summary

Falkor, a KONGSBERG company, seeks a Senior Test Engineer in Bengaluru to lead manual testing across web and enterprise applications. You’ll plan, design, and execute test cases, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and support PoCs and product initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

You will apply testing methodologies, assist in requirement reviews, and help ensure quality before demonstrations and releases, while collaborating with customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of hands-on experience in Manual Testing of enterprise or web-based applications.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science / Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle, and QA best practices.
• Experience with functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, and user acceptance testing.
• Experience creating test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and defect reports.
• Ability to manage testing activities across multiple projects and PoCs in parallel.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer with strong expertise in Manual Testing to join our Product Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions through comprehensive test planning, execution, and validation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, customers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality products while supporting multiple Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and product initiatives in parallel. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented quality professional with a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced product development environment.

What You’ll Do

• Plan, design, and execute comprehensive manual test cases for web and enterprise applications.
• Develop test strategies, test plans, and test scenarios based on business and functional requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through to resolution.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, and Solution Architects to ensure product quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Work efficiently across multiple projects and Proof of Concepts (PoCs) simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide early feedback to improve product quality.
• Validate product functionality before customer demonstrations and production releases.
• Interact directly with customers to understand requirements, clarify issues, and support PoC demonstrations when required.
• Ensure adherence to testing best practices, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide clear status updates, test reports, and risk assessments to internal and external stakeholders.

What we’re looking for

• 8–10 years of hands-on experience in Manual Testing of enterprise or web-based applications.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science / Information Technology or a related discipline
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle, and quality assurance best practices.
• Proven experience in Functional, System, Regression, Integration, and User Acceptance Testing.
• Experience creating test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and defect reports.
• Ability to manage testing activities across multiple projects and PoCs in parallel while meeting project timelines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to interact directly with customers.
• Experience supporting customer demonstrations, Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and solution validations is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and defect tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps is preferred.
