Job summary

Syndigo seeks a Sr. Quality Engineer to strengthen quality across the SDLC and drive automation for API, UI, and integrations. You will own multiple modules, apply QA best practices, and leverage AI to create testing solutions for a SaaS product.

The role requires 6–9 years in testing, 4+ years automating API/UI tests, and strong Java/Python skills in a hybrid Bangalore setting.

Qualifications

• 6-9 years of total experience in testing enterprise software/product.
• 4+ years in test automation for APIs, integrations, and UI.
• Experience with AI, generative AI, and prompt design.
• Proficiency with Java and Python programming or scripting.
• Knowledge of web services, performance and non-functional testing.
• Experience with CI/CD in SaaS/cloud environments (Azure/AWS).

Sr. Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the product management and development teams and proactively build in quality across SDLC stages.
• Certify the functional and non-functional aspects using the QA best standards to deliver top quality products.
• Take ownership of multiple modules and improve STLC processes.
• Implement automation for API, Functional or UI features of the product by using the Java, Python & PlayWright based automation frameworks.
• Use AI / Generative AI to create testing solutions and adapt processes.

Experience and Skills

• 6-9 years of total experience in testing enterprise software/product with 4+ years of experience in test automation for APIs, APIs, Integrations, and UI.
• Good experience in AI with practical adoption (AI, Generative AI, prompt engineering, context design, models, evaluation, etc.).
• Proven experience with automating testing for REST or SOAP APIs and Integrations using necessary tools like RestAssured, Postman, Swagger, Katalon, JMeter, etc.
• Hands on experience with designs and programming/scripting languages (Java, Python). Development or white box testing experience will be preferred.
• Good knowledge of web services, web applications, and related areas of non-functional testing like Performance, Scalability, etc.
• Hands-on with Github source control, Test Mgmt tools and JIRA, Confluence, etc.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with both product and technical teams.
• Experience working in CI/CD model with SaaS and Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relative work experience
• Working experience in Retail/E-Commerce domain or knowledge of MDM/PIM

**This is a hybrid position that requires 3 days per week in office at our Bangalore location**
