Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support a test automation framework, using tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Python, Postman, SoapUI, and JMeter.
• Develop automation solutions for non‑UI components like SOAP API, RESTful API, and web services.
• Build scalable test solutions for web applications, APIs, reports, and data layers.
• Work with cloud‑based applications in AWS and Azure.
• Conduct system performance testing to ensure reliability, capacity, and scalability.
• Analyze test results and coordinate with development teams to fix defects.
• Provide technical assistance to improve system performance and scalability.
• Advocate appropriate level of product quality.
• Perform testing on releases – pre‑production and post‑production; review test results and certify/approve changes.
• Keep up‑to‑date with development technology, testing tools and business domain.
• Working understanding of SQL databases and ability to write SQL statements/retrieve data (Query Analyzer).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer related field.
• 6+ years of experience with QA Automation/Performance and/or application development.
• Solid understanding of database technologies.
• Solid understanding of QA tools including automation and load testing.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Experience writing and running SQL queries.
• Experience creating and executing automation test suites.
• Experience navigating across cross‑functional teams.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Agile / SCRUM / Waterfall methodologies.
