Job summary

W Energy in Bangalore is seeking a seasoned professional for Business Analysis and Functional Testing. You will own testing cycles, validate data tie-outs in EDW, log defects, raise RCAs, and ensure quality of builds delivered to end customers.

The role demands Agile experience, strong Excel, Jira/Zephyr, and hands-on with Playwright or Selenium; knowledge of Java and AI-assisted test design is a plus. This is a Bangalore-based, on-site opportunity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis and Functional testing.
• Exposure to agile development methodologies.
• Direct experience testing data tie-outs in EDW environment.
• Hands-on with test automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium and programming languages like Java.
• Familiarity with Jira / Zephyr for test management.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are only looking for Bangalore based candidates. Last Round (HR Round) is a Mandatory F2F round in Bangalore.Role & Responsibilities –

• Take responsibility for success of testing cycle and Quality of Products delivered to end customers.
• Raise defects and log RCAs. Bug triaging. Classification of bugs in buckets. Assigning severity. Providing sign off to builds.
• Expert in understanding business use cases and requirement and converting them to scenarios and test cases.
• Identify test requirements from business and functional specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan including integration and system test scripts.
• Use SQL queries for data validation.
• Take ownership of and develop data tie-out testing plans.
• Practical experience using AI tools such as Claude or Copilot to improve test design, test case generation, and QA productivity.
  

Requirements & Qualifications –

• The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in Business Analysis and Functional testing
• Technical background and extensive exposure to agile development methodologies required.
• Direct experience on testing data tie-outs in EDW environment is required.
• Ability to work cooperatively as a part of a global professional team that may be distributed across geographies and time zones.
• Added advantage for hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium and any programming languages such as Java, and AI tools.
• Excellent communication, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel is required.
• Good knowledge of Jira / Test Management (Zephyr) is required.
• Experience in web service/API testing is a plus.
• Hands on experience with AI tools like Claude, copilot etc. is expected.
