Algoworks Technologies Private Limited is seeking a Senior Automation QA Engineer to strengthen our automation QA practice across analytics-driven web applications. You will design and maintain UI and API automation suites using Playwright and TypeScript, and build scalable frameworks with BDD (Cucumber).

You will validate data, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and integrate tests with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines. This role emphasizes reliability and reusable automation across products.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience in QA Automation.
4+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright.
Experience developing UI and API automation suites.
Experience integrating automated tests with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
Strong understanding of locator strategies and handling dynamic web applications.
Experience building reusable automation frameworks, page objects, services, and utilities.
Experience validating UI data against API responses and database results.
Familiarity with Allure reporting and automated test result analysis.
Strong debugging, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Automation QA Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright, TypeScript, and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) to strengthen our automation QA practice across multiple analytics-driven web applications.

The candidate will be responsible for expanding automation coverage and building a scalable, reusable automation framework across products. Strong experience in UI and API automation, Cucumber-based BDD, Azure DevOps CI/CD integration, and automated validation of analytics and dashboard workflows is essential.

Key Responsibilities

1. UI & API Test Automation

Design, develop, and maintain UI and API automation suites using Playwright and TypeScript.
Automate critical workflows across analytics-driven web applications and dashboards.
Develop reliable automated tests for functional, integration, and regression scenarios.
Validate application behaviour across different workflows and identify defects early.
Ensure automation coverage focuses on high-value business-critical scenarios.

2. BDD Automation & Framework Development

Develop and maintain reusable page objects, services, utilities, and automation components.
Build scalable and maintainable automation frameworks that can be reused across multiple products.
Follow automation design principles and coding best practices.
Contribute to framework enhancements, standardisation, and continuous improvement.

3. Analytics & Data Validation

Automate critical analytics, reporting, and dashboard workflows.
Validate UI data against API responses and database results.
Verify data consistency, accuracy, and integrity across application layers.
Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify suitable data-driven automation scenarios.
Investigate discrepancies between UI displays, API responses, and underlying data.
Integrate automated test suites with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
Support automated test execution as part of continuous integration and delivery workflows.
Configure and maintain automation execution processes within pipeline environments.
Analyse test execution results and investigate pipeline failures.
Improve automation reliability and support efficient release validation.

5. Test Reporting & Troubleshooting

Maintain test execution reporting using Allure.
Analyse automation failures and perform root-cause analysis.
Debug flaky tests, locator issues, and failures involving dynamic web applications.
Identify and resolve automation framework and test execution issues.
Communicate test results, defects, risks, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

Collaborate with QA engineers and development teams to identify high-value automation opportunities.
Participate in test planning, scenario reviews, and discussions on automation strategy.
Contribute to automation standards, framework improvements, and QA best practices.
Support automation coverage across multiple applications and product environments.
Mentor junior QA engineers and share knowledge where required.

Required Technical Skills & Competencies

6+ years of experience in QA Automation.
