Job summary

Crisil is seeking a senior data engineer to work on heavy financial data sets. You will leverage Python (Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib) to transform time series data and deliver well-documented code that replicates Excel-based models.

The role requires strong collaboration with business teams to capture requirements, define goals, and produce clear technical specifications. Prior experience with SQL and Snowflake is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of technical experience with complex data sets for financial institutions.
• Must-have: Python, Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib.
• Nice-to-have: SQL, Snowflake.
• Understand complex Excel financial models and break into components.
• Collaborate with business to capture requirements and document goals & tech specs.
• Experience writing Python to transform time series data; PySpark not a substitute.
• Write auditable, well-documented Python code that replicates Excel logic.
