Job summary

Shashwath Solution is looking for an experienced Senior Developer to lead cloud modernization and migration initiatives from AWS to Azure in Pune, India. You will work hands-on with Python, Node.js, PySpark, and Azure data services to deliver end-to-end migration and modernization projects.

Responsibilities include refactoring legacy AWS code, building serverless and microservices in Azure, and deploying CI/CD pipelines with Kubernetes/AKS.

Qualifications

Python and Node.js development experience.
8+ years JavaScript/Node.js development experience.
PySpark experience (Python API).
Proficiency with Azure services: Functions, AKS, App Services, Blob Storage.
Experience migrating AWS Lambda to Azure Functions (serverless).
Experience converting AWS SDK to Azure SDK.
Experience with ADF Mapping Data Flows and Synapse Spark.
Experience with Databricks.
Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes; Helm charts.

Responsibilities

Lead migration of Python and Node.js apps from AWS to Azure.
Refactor legacy AWS architecture, codebase, and cloud dependencies.
Develop and modernize apps using PySpark, Databricks, ADF Mapping Data Flows, Synapse Spark.
Implement and deploy serverless solutions using Azure Functions.
Migrate storage and data connectors (S3 to Azure Blob, Confluent Kafka S3 Sync).
Convert AWS SDK usage to Azure SDK equivalents.
Design CI/CD pipelines and deployment scripts for containerized apps (Kubernetes, Helm, App Services, APIM, AKS).
Perform unit testing and troubleshooting in Azure environments.
Provide guidance on AWS-to-Azure migration best practices.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer with strong expertise in Python, Node.js, Azure, and a proven track record of migrating cloud applications from AWS to Azure. This role requires hands-on experience in PySpark, Databricks, and Azure data services such as ADF and Synapse Spark. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end modernization and migration initiatives, code remediation, and deployment of serverless and microservices-based applications in Azure.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the migration of Python and Nodejs applications from AWS to Azure
Analyze legacy AWS architecture, source code, and cloud service dependencies to identify and implement code refactoring and remediation
Develop and modernize applications using PySpark (Python API), Databricks, ADF Mapping Data Flows, and Synapse Spark
Implement and deploy serverless solutions using Azure Functions, replacing AWS Lambda where applicable
Handle migration of storage and data connectors (eg, S3 to Azure Blob, Confluent Kafka AWS S3 Sync Connector)
Convert AWS SDK usage to corresponding Azure SDK implementations
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines, deployment scripts, and configuration for containerized applications using Kubernetes, Helm charts, App Services, APIM, and AKS
Perform unit testing, application troubleshooting, and support within Azure environments
