Job Role: Senior Proposal Writer

Roles and Responsibilities

Proposal Development:

1. Research, write, and organize professional proposals tailored for U.S. Federal, State, and Local Government departments.
2. Translate technical information into clear, easy-to-understand language for non-technical audiences with a focus on technical accuracy.
3. Develop custom, compliant sales proposals, including responses to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and proactive proposals.

Content Creation and Improvement:

1. Review, revise, and enhance existing content for technical accuracy, quality, and strategic alignment.
2. Conduct interviews with technical subject matter experts to craft high-quality technical response approaches.
3. Use advanced tools to create visually appealing, professional proposals.

Strategic Research and Analysis:

1. Identify pricing parameters, deliverable schedules, contract terms, and evaluation methods for proposals.
2. Research companies, non-profits, RFPs, RFQs, and grants to identify business development opportunities.
3. Create and execute strategies for proposal development and incorporate feedback into revisions.

Compliance and Quality Control:

1. Ensure proposals meet all RFP requirements, incorporate strategic themes, and align with compliance standards.
2. Analyze RFP requirements, assemble response teams, allocate resources, and ensure timely submission.

Stakeholder Communication:

1. Collaborate with internal teams to prepare go/no-go strategies.
2. Present technical solutions and strategies to clients when needed.

Client Focus:

1. Leverage expertise in U.S. Federal and State Government contracts to position the company competitively.
2. Develop compelling and compliant proposals that reflect a deep understanding of client needs.

Skills and Qualifications

Education:

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.

Experience:

1. Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in technical proposal writing for U.S. IT Consulting and Staff Augmentation businesses.
2. Mandatory experience working with U.S. Federal, State, and Local Government clients.
3. Prior experience working in U.S. shift timings.

Technical Expertise:

1. In-depth knowledge of proposal writing for IT services, particularly in the Federal and State Government sectors.
2. Strong understanding of IT sales processes and ability to explain complex technical concepts.

Skills:

1. Exceptional technical writing and verbal communication skills.
2. Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills.
3. Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with high attention to detail.
4. Proficiency in proposal writing tools and document design for professional presentations.
