Job summary

Mountain Studio is hiring a Senior Product Designer in India with 5+ years of experience. You will shape investment experiences across crypto, stocks, ETFs and analytics, turning dense financial concepts into clear, intuitive interfaces.

The role combines product thinking, systems design, and financial UX, with mentoring responsibilities and a focus on scalable design systems. The role is remote within India, with a Bangalore in-person preference (3 days/week).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of digital product design experience.

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer - 5Y+

Bangalore preferred (3 days working from office), but remote candidates across India will be considered for the right fit. B2C and Mobile experience mandatory. If you have only SaaS or B2B experience, this is not for you.

We are currently hiring for a UAE-based fintech client building modern investment experiences across crypto, stocks, and ETFs.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who thrives in complexity - someone who can take dense financial concepts and turn them into experiences that feel intuitive, trustworthy, and elegant.

This role sits at the intersection of product thinking, systems design, and financial UX. You’ll work on investment products spanning cryptocurrency, equities, ETFs, portfolio management, and analytics - helping users make high-stakes financial decisions with clarity and confidence.

You’ll collaborate closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams, influence product direction early, and own end-to-end design for critical parts of the experience. Beyond execution, we’re looking for someone who can bring structure to ambiguity, mentor other designers, and raise the quality bar across the product.

What does the job entail?

• Designing high-quality investment experiences across web and mobile platforms
• Owning end-to-end product design across crypto, stocks, ETFs, portfolios, analytics, and trading flows
• Translating complex financial concepts into clear, intuitive interfaces
• Leading design from discovery through delivery — defining flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI
• Structuring ambiguous requirements into clear user journeys and scalable systems
• Building and evolving scalable design systems and interaction patterns
• Working closely with PMs, developers, and stakeholders to shape product direction and roadmap priorities
• Conducting research, competitive benchmarking, and usability testing to inform decisions
• Maintaining exceptional standards of visual craft, interaction design, responsiveness, and accessibility
• Mentoring junior designers and contributing to overall team culture and design quality
• Using AI tools meaningfully in your workflow — from research and synthesis to prototyping, copy, and systems thinking

What are we looking for?

• 5+ years of experience designing digital products in a professional environment
• Prior experience working on fintech, trading, investing, crypto, brokerage, or wealth- management products
• Strong understanding of financial UX and the trust, clarity, and transparency required in investment interfaces
• Ability to simplify complex concepts like trading flows, wallets, staking, portfolio analytics, order types, diversification, etc.
• Exceptional UI and visual design skills with strong attention to typography, hierarchy, spacing, and interaction details
• Strong systems thinking and experience building scalable design systems
• Deep proficiency in Figma, including advanced prototyping and component architecture
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). You can:

• Experience mentoring or guiding designers and contributing to team-level processes
• Comfort working directly with product leaders, founders, and engineering teams

• Curiosity about markets, investing, financial products, and user behaviour

• Preferred: Candidates based in Bangalore who can work in-person 3 days a week
